Sarasota attorney Melinda Delpech has practiced family and marital law for more than 30 years. Melinda was born and raised in Westchester County, New York and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst with a bachelor of science degree in Legal Studies. Thereafter, she attended law school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she earned a juris doctor degree. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Sarasota to begin her legal career in family and marital law.
Melinda offers representation in all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody and support, domestic violence, property division, spousal support, prenuptial agreements, paternity, parental relocation with children and enforcement of support obligations. Experience has taught her that each family law case is different. If a situation can be resolved amicably, thus minimizing stress and expense, she will assist and guide the client through the process. If the client needs someone to fight for his or her rights in court, Melinda is prepared to do so.
Attorney Delpech lives in Sarasota with her husband and is an active member of the Sarasota County Bar Association.

Amy Schneck is legal assistant to Melinda Delpech. Amy was born and raised in Florida and has been working in the legal profession for 19 years. Amy assists all of our clients in preparing their financial paperwork and navigating the procedural aspects of their case. She is skillful at helping clients address the concerns that inevitably arise during a family law case, and will channel those concerns to Attorney Delpech if she is unable to resolve them herself. Amy’s strong character and thoughtful nature are particularly comforting to clients as they go through the challenges that the unique circumstances their case presents.
Amy is happily married with grown children. In her free time, Amy enjoys the outdoors and making craft projects.
